FAQ | Cannamics

Frequently asked questions

Can CBD make you high?

Cannamics does not contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis.

CBD does not generate feelings of pschoactivity; in other words, it does not “make you high.” This is because the cannabis plant has two main compounds: CBD and THC; only THC is psychoactive. Cannamics is THC-free. Therefore, Cannamics should not make you feel mentally altered in any way.

Is CBD legal?

The Department of Health made CBD legal in South Africa in May 2019.

CBD products must use preparations ensuring a maximum daily dose of 20mg or less of CBD and less than 0.001% THC.

Is CBD safe?

According to the World Health Organisation, CBD is generally well tolerated and exhibits a good safety profile. CBD is not thought to cause any adverse effects directly; however, adverse drug interactions have been reported (please refer to the patient information leaflet). Additionally, CBD is non-addictive and shows no potential for being abused.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are different species of the Cannabis sativa plant and are grown for different purposes.

Hemp contains higher levels of CBD and much lower levels of THC (less than 0.3%) compared to marijuana species. Cannamics contains CBD sourced from organically grown hemp plants, farmed with trusted and sustainable methods.

Who should you trust to buy CBD products from?

It seems like you can buy CBD products anywhere online these days so it’s smart to ask questions about quality and sourcing, otherwise, you may purchase expensive yet ineffective CBD products, or even unsafe products with high THC-levels.
